It’s time to wave goodbye to Hermione Granger, because there is a new rule breaker in town!
Emma Watson highlights the diversity of her acting skills by showing everyone that sensible acting isn’t always the only route in life.
Watson’s new film ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’, hits our screens next year, and will show Emma as we’ve never seen her before.
The film follows Charlie (Logan Lerman), a high-school freshman who is taken under the wing by two older seniors – One of which is Watson.
Emma’s co-star Ezra Miller said: “You better gird your loins, When it comes to Emma people just have no idea. People have no idea what they’re in for. It’s great!”
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is based a book by Stephen Chbosky. It involves saucy scenes and drugs use, which Ezra understands will shock many Emma fans.
The star informed E! Online ‘It’s very much about how we manifest abuse.’
Ezra is not the only co-star to commend Emma on her performance. Nina Dobrev who will play Candace was surprised at how talented the actress was.
“The world has only seen her basically in one role – a pretty conservative, sweet, smart character, which is great,” Nina previously said.
“But this one, she pushes the envelope in a different way than anyone’s ever seen her, which is really great. It’s a great role for her.”
The Perks of Being a Wallflower has not yet had an exact release date, but rumors are it will be in the summer of 2012!

'Teen Wolf's Dylan O'Brien: 'I've never seen Twilight'
Dylan O'Brien has admitted that he is not a big fan of the supernatural genre of film and TV.
The Teen Wolf star, who plays Stiles Stilinski in the hit MTV remake of the 1985 film, told Parade that he has never seen Twilight but understands that much Teen Wolf's success is owed to the popularity of vampires and other monsters in pop culture.
"I was a True Blood fan for the first two seasons but I've never seen Twilight or Vampire Diaries, which we get compared to a lot. They're the only reason we have the show in the first place, so they're a huge part of why we're successful," O'Brien explained.
"It's their audience that we're picking from, but I think our show has got some originality. It was our job to implement our own unique factor because if we didn't bring creativity to it, then we're just kind of regurgitating Twilight."
O'Brien also said that he had never even heard of the original Teen Wolf when auditioning for his role.
The 19-year-old actor added: "I didn't even know what Teen Wolf was when I read the pilot script. I didn't watch it until after I got the role, but I loved it. I got such a kick out of Jerry Levine.
"It was really cool to see the original spin on Stiles. It reminded me that I needed to not be a total nerd!"
Teen Wolf was recently renewed for a second season by MTV and will get 12 new episodes in 2012.
'The Secret Circle' Twitter intel: Welcome to the coven
After viewing "The Secret Circle" pilot a whole bunch of times (yes, we liked it that much!) we feel it's our duty to prepare you for what's sure to be your new favorite show. The CW just released this brand new cast photo. We'll give you a moment to appreciate the hotness.
You done? We figured we'd take the opportunity to properly introduce the cast. And by "introduce" them, we obviously mean "let you know where you can follow them on Twitter." There's nothing like a brand new show to inspire plenty of fake profiles, so here are the official, confirmed Twitter accounts where you can follow the cast... for real.
Britt Robertson (Cassie) is at @RealBritt_Rob. You'll recognize her from the gone-too-soon "Life Unexpected," "Swingtown," and of course "Scream 4."
Her love interest, Adam, is played by Thomas Dekker of "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" and "Heroes" fame. Follow his tweets at @TheThomasDekker.
The whole love interest thing is complicated by Diana (okay, and the fact that they're all witches). She's played by Shelley Hennig, a "Days of Our Lives" vet -- and, lest we forget, 2004's Miss Teen Louisiana. Shelley's at @shelleyhennig.
Diana's greatest adversary is mean girl witch Faye, who gets her impressive strut from Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin (@1PhoebeJTonkin). You can also keep up with her blog at http://empressmoonchild.blogspot.com/ because she's savvy like that.
Jessica Parker Kennedy (Melissa) and Louis Hunter (Nick) don't have official twitters -- but you can learn more about their characters here. You can also follow Natasha Henstridge, who plays Faye's mother, Dawn, at @nathenstridge.
Accept no imitations, and be sure to tune in to The CW at 9 p.m. EST on Sept 15, after "The Vampire Diaries" returns.

But, when she enrolls in high school there, she realizes that he, she and all the other elite students at the school are witches! She befriends their leader, Diana, but soon discovers that Adam and Diana are dating, which leads to a whole bunch of complicated drama.

Secret Circle Spoilers – Andrew Miller Dishes on “Melissa” and “Nick”
Zap2It caught up with Executive Producer Andrew Miller. He talks about The Secret Circle characters “Melissa Glaser” and “Nick Armstrong” (played by actors Jessica Parker Kennedy and Louis Hunter). What they’re all about and what to expect. Will Cassie and Nick have a romantic connection as they did in the books? Find out!
“Nick is a troubled young man,” Miller tells us, laughing a bit. “Both his parents are dead; he lives with his aunt and uncle. He’s a little bit more messed up than the other ones. He’s got this cool guy facade, but he spends a lot of time pushing people away, probably out of insecurity and fear.”
Fans frequently ask us whether Nick and Cassie will have a romantic connection on the show the way that they seem to in the novels. As of right now, Miller says, there aren’t plans to highlight a romantic spark between them. Cassie has her hands full relationship-wise with Adam (Thomas Dekker) who is currently dating her one friend in town, Diana.
Melissa (Jessica Parker Kennedy) is a bit of a sidekick to the “bad girl” Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) when we first meet her. “Melissa is an insecure mean girl. She has this unique position of being friends with Faye, which kind of makes her a powerful girl at school, and yet, she’s not ‘that girl,’ so she’s kind of in a weird spot,” Miller explains. “She’s been living in Faye’s shadow for their entire friendship, which is a safe place to be because it’s not a lot of pressure, but at the same time she’s not given the opportunities to assert herself in any real, meaningful way.”
As the series marches on, we’ll see a change in Melissa. “Over the course of the season, as she comes into her power, she’ll create a clear definition for herself and it will help her define herself outside of her relationship with Faye in a really cool way,” Miller says.
Comic-Con 2011: Excessive Hotness from 'The Vampire Diaries' Panel
The Vampire Diaries came off of a strong second season to arrive at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con. Much of the cast, along with the show's two executive producers arrived in Ballroom 20 to address the thousands gathered there.
Whose deaths were the most surprising and hardest?
Candice Accola: "Kayla Ewell, because it was the first big death."
Paul Wesley: "Everyone's died... I think I'm mourning my own death the most... I thought the Rose death was very emotional."
Kevin Williamson: "Kayla. Vicky... And then Aunt Jenna was very hard."
Ian Somerhalder: "I remember reading when Vicky dies, that was heartbreaking."
Julie Plec: "I still get hate mail for killing Mason Lockwood."
Nina Dobrev: "When Sara Canning and when Kayla left..."
Joseph Morgan: "I think Sara Canning dying was really sort of sad... I guess the most surprising was Jeremy. I mean, again?"
Have we seen the last of Elijah?
Kevin Williamson: "Oh no!"
And he's pissed off. And possibly embarrassed by getting killed repeatedly by that dagger.
Will Damon be looking for Stefan?
Ian Somerhalder: "Damon's kind of not to happy about the way life has worked out for him at this point."
Kevin Williamson: "It's one of those reluctant hero stories."
How dark will Stefan get?
Paul Wesley: "I don't know... I think the whole Ripper Stefan thing is really interesting."
Why does Klaus want Stefan so badly?
Joseph Morgan: "I think we're going to find a lot more about the motive and history of him taking Stefan this season."
Which is more fun, Elena or Katherine?
Nina Dobrev: "I get the best of both worlds... They're both so much fun... They're both so challenging and so awesome. They will kill me one day... I can get away with a lot more when I'm Katherine on set."
Where did Katherine go?
Julie Plec: "She's in Hawaii, waiting for the very special Hawaiian episode maybe."
What's it like for Caroline to be violent?
Candice Accola: "So I get to kick a werewolf in the crotch and go kill two cops and then go, 'Hey Mom!'"
Will Elena and Damon date in the next season?
Julie Plec: "Katherine seems to know more about what it's like to care about both Salvatore brothers... She's not saying it for no reason."
Other little bits from the panel:
- Joseph Morgan (Klaus)
- Nina Dobrev (Elena/Katherine)
- Julie Plec (executive producer)
- Ian Somerhalder (Damon)

- When asked which Salvatore brother she would pick, Nina Dobrev replied,"The beauty of the situation is that I don't have to choose."
- Justin Bieber wanted to be on **The Vampire Diaries.
The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Premiere Pictures Reveal a an Unlikely Bromance
As a birthday party ramps up around them, our characters of The Vampire Diaries have other things on their minds. Elena (Nina Dobrev) is left to hang out with a brooding Damon (Ian Somerhalder) since Stefan (Paul Wesley) is MIA. Meanwhile, Caroline (Candice Accola) has her own love triangle going on with Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Matt (Zach Roerig). And Alaric (Matt Davis) is just so busy being good-looking, I mean, look!
Damon and Alaric seem to have an unlikely bromance. Even though we’ve seen them talk peaceably together before, it’s only now that it strikes me that Alaric is Damon’s only friend aside from Nina. And now that Stefan isn’t around, Alaric is going to be Damon’s moral compass. That’s …going to be fun to watch!
The Vampire Diaries season 3 has a premiere date of Thursday, September 15. The episode is “The Birthday.”More premiere pictures are under the jump.

Katerina Graham teases Bonnie's future on 'The Vampire Diaries'
Katerina Graham has said that Bonnie will have to come to terms with Jeremy's new ability to see his dead ex-girlfriends Anna and Vicki on The Vampire Diaries.
The actress suggested that her character's relationship with Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) could become strained over the course of the third season, E! News reports.
"I don't know anything," Graham joked, before adding: "I do know that Bonnie's going to have to deal at some point with Jeremy's (Steven R. McQueen) new ability to see his ex-girlfriends, who are deceased because he now can see the other side. So we'll see how she deals with that."
She continued: "And other than that it's just going with the flow and seeing where they take it. As of right now in the show, where it left off in the finale, Stefan (Paul Wesley) went with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and is on this crazy feeding rampage and all that. So we have to figure out how to get him back."
Kayla Ewell, who plays Vicki, recently revealed that ultimately all three of Jeremy's girlfriends will come face-to-face for a "huge epic fight".
In July, Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec said that Bonnie will face problems in her love life next season thanks to the presence of Vicki and Anna.
The Vampire Diaries will return for its new season on September 15 on The CW.

Teen Wolf : What Happens Next ?
MTV
Now that's how you do a season finale. The first season of MTV's Teen Wolf came to a close on Monday night, and after we finished scrapping the remnants of our jaws off the floor, we were left with a lot of questions. Is Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) replacing Peter (RIP... kind of!) as the new Big Bad? Will Derek turn Jackson (Colton Haynes) into a werewolf? What the hell is Lydia (Holland Roden) now? Will Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) remain awesome? We need answers, people!
Lucky for us, the show's creator and executive producer Jeff Davis was more than willing to give up some scoop...
MORE: Lyons Den Rising Star: Dylan O'Brien
The New HWIC: That's right, Derek will be Head Wolf in Charge when Teen Wolf returns in 2012, a role he'd been working to attain all season. "We had been building to it for a long time. Derek just had his eye on the prize the whole time, which was becoming the Alpha himself," Jeff says. "It's our version of The Godfather essentially. He's become the Godfather. It's like, what happens to him now? Is he going to use his power for good or evil?"
While he wouldn't say if Derek will be next season's Big Bad, Jeff did tell us fans will see Derek recruiting new pack members. "There will be new werewolves rounding out Derek's pack because the stronger his pack, the stronger Derek becomes, the faster he'll be able to heal. The stronger your pack, the closer you get to being able to transform into a full wolf," he explains. "Our werewolves become stronger with a strong pack. They feed off each other's power, they become more powerful together."
One of season two's biggest questions? "Whether or not Scott (Tyler Posey) will join him." Dun-dun-dun!
MTV
Jackson the Wolf?: Jeff wouldn't tell us if Jackson will be sporting some additional facial hair next season, but did say we'll learn the lacrosse star's motivations for wanting to become a werewolf. "You'll see that in season two, the why and the where of it all because we're going to delve a good bit more into Jackson's background." A big part of his background? "I can tell you that the mystery of Jackson's parents will definitely be explored."Lydia the... What Hell Is She Now?!: Remember that time Lydia thrashed around in her hospital room covered in blood? "You'll definitely see more scenes like that with Lydia as she goes through a very difficult arc in the next season," Jeff, who wouldn't reveal if Lydia is human or not, teases. "She becomes very important to the mythology."
Star-Crossed Lovers: How cute were Scott and Allison (Crystal Reed) cuddling on her roof at the end of the episode? You didn't think they'd actually stay that happy and content for long, did you? Oh, you did? That's so sweet. We remember our first TV show.
"It's going to be difficult for them next season because they'll have to carry on their romance in secret," Jeff explains. "It will be a real Romeo and Juliet story because a deal will have been made between Argent and Scott: I will stay out of your way but you have to stay away from Allison. That's not going to last very long."
Hasta La Vista, Sweet Allison: Prepare for a completely badass Allison. "I've told Crystal that she needs to start getting in Linda Hamilton from Terminator 2 shape," Jeff says. "She's going to be doing a lot of running, jumping and firing of arrows." While we were thrilled to hear of Allison's new extracurricular activities, Mr. Argent (JR Bourne) won't be. "One of the things that Argent is going to fear most is just how good Allison is going to get at becoming one of her family. She's going to take up the mantle."
All About Stiles: In case you didn't read our interview with Dylan O'Brien, we'll say it again: We love Stiles. Which is why we procured these three Stiles-related teases from Jeff.
- Daddy issues! "The worst thing that could happen to Stiles is to essentially hurt his father in some way. They have such a strong bond and he's going to inadvertently cause big issues for his dad for which he'll have to go to Scott for help."
- "He will never turn into a werewolf and he will never play lacrosse ever," Jeff states. Stiles' consolation prize? A love interest!
- Clearly Jeff heard Dylan's "Spider-Man Superhero" story line request because Jeff tells us that Stiles "will be involved in more of the action."
Joseph Morgan: Klaus and Stefan Are Picking Out Curtains in Between Killing Sprees
"[They're] out having fun, painting the town red," Morgan tells E!. "Going dancing. Shopping. Going to garden centers. Picking out curtains. Trying out couches. Just trying to get to know each other."
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we love Joseph Morgan. All joking aside, the real deal is this: Morgan says the duo is “on a killing binge, quite frankly.” And Klaus is “trying to corrupt [Stefan] and bring him back to the dark side.” Try? We’re pretty sure that’s already been accomplished.
But since the premiere takes place some months after the Season 2 finale, will we ever get to see the twosome tear up the country or just have to imagine it (like we have been all summer)?
We’re up for a little time travel since TVD is probably the most flashback-happy show ever, but Morgan says he doesn’t know whether we’ll witness the debauchery firsthand. He did, however, promise “[the killing] certainly hasn’t stopped” by the Season 3 premiere. "Things are only going to escalate from here, so we're going to see how far these guys are willing to go,” he says. “And Klaus is willing to go as far as it takes."
As long as the ripping scenes are interspersed with a couch-testing, flower-sniffing, cookie-baking montage, that’s okay with us.
Selena Gomez Inspires New Celebrity Crush From 'Teen Wolf' Star
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may still be together, as witnessed from their PDA at Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards. But that didn't stop breakout Teen Wolf star Dylan O'Brien from confessing he may just have a celebrity crush on the Disney starlet. Does Bieber have a bit of competition coming his way?
O'Brien and Gomez apparently met on the TCA red carpet, where the pretty singer-actress, 19, was rocking a dreamy Erin Fetherston mini-dress complete with a creamy sash. Her glowing look probably inspired more than a few crushes that evening.
The Teen Wolf star, 19, positively gushed on Twitter, saying, "The Cutie Awards were great! Oh and if you haven't heard, I met Selena... DAS RIGHT. And she was so sweet to me. Phenomenal hugger. Cool!" Funny, but apropos, that O'Brien dubs the Teen Choice Awards the "Cutie Awards." There was certainly no lack of cuties, hotties and adorable couples (and kids!) at the show, not the least of which was Selena Gomez.
Dylan O'Brien and Justin Bieber might
not share a whole lot in common, but one thing they can most certainly agree on is Selena Gomez's hugging prowess.
'Vampire Diaries' Star Kayla Ewell's Hoping For A Magical Vicki-Anna-Bonnie Catfight
If you thought Vicki's return to the "The Vampire Diaries" was going to be a peaceful one, guess again. While death may have tamed her, Casper the Friendly Ghost she most certainly is not.
Yesterday we caught up with Vicki's real-life alter ego Kayla Ewell to chat about her guest appearance on "The Glades" (airing Sunday at 10 p.m./ 9 C on A&E) and talk inevitably turned to our favorite CW series and, more specifically, how Vicki has changed since joining the after-life and how her return will affect Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen).
"Did death reform her? Of course it did. But it didn’t change her completely," Kayla said. "I’m still going to be a little bit of the trouble-maker, and I kind of just don’t know any other way to be."
So what do Vicki’s trouble-making ways mean for Bonnie and Jeremy’s budding relationship? When we spoke to Kat recently, she told us that the return of Jeremy’s exes may bring out Bonnie’s possessive side and, judging from what Kayla told us, that may not be a bad thing.
"Vicki and Anna, they’re going to put up a fight. They’re not going to leave quietly. And so that’s definitely something that’s going to affect Bonnie as well because they’re finally happy and in love and, as always in television, there’s never really a happy ending," Kayla said. "Someone has to stir it up, and Vicki is definitely stirring things up." Naturally.
Bonnie isn't the only one impacted by Vicki's return though. Kayla said that Vicki will be tending to a lot of unfinished business now that she's back in Mystic Falls, especially where her brother is concerned.
"There’s unresolved issues with everyone, and the writers are doing a really good job addressing pretty much all issues that have been unresolved," said Kayla. "They're going to explore the brother-sister relationship between Matt and Vicki a lot too because they were brother and sister and then all of a sudden Vicki dies and then Matt doesn’t have any resolution."
Kayla added that Vicki's return will also bring Matt and Jeremy closer together.
"Matt and Jeremy, they go on a journey together and they kind of bond over it," she said. "It’s a bonding experience for the two of them and then it’s a bonding experience for Vicki and Matt and Vicki and Jeremy."
Fans can expect Vicki to stick around for a significant chunk of season three, and if Kayla has her way, she won't be leaving without wreaking some major havoc.
"What I really, really want and hope they do is a giant catfight between Bonnie and Anna and Vicki because there are so many magical powers at work," she said. "I don’t even know where to begin to write that scene but I know that if anyone can do it Kevin and Julie can do that."
An epic battle between Vicki, Anna and Bonnie? Count us in!
Season 3 Spoilers! Caroline Does NOT Like Tyler’s New Gal Pal
There are two things you need to know about Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino): One, they have some serious cross-species chemistry and two, the new Season 3 promo shows the blonde vampiress hopping into bed — shirtless — with the wild were-man!
Clearly, our interest has been piqued. The Vampire Diaries exec producer compared Car and Ty’s arc next season to Romeo and Juliet, and thanks to E!, we know more about where the Shakespearean juxtaposition comes from.
First off, when Tyler brings a new lady to Elena’s birthday party, vampires and werewolves aren’t the only monsters in attendance — one uninvited guest of the green-eyed variety rears its ugly head as well. Uh oh! Supernaturals’ emotions are supposedly much more heightened than humans’, so we can’t even imagine how vexed the vamp really is. This new chick best be watching her step!
Actually, she isn’t the only one who should watch her back, as Caroline might have a hater of her own. Later in the season, another Shakespearean storyline sneaks in to Mystic Falls, when a certain someone we “know and kind of trust” tries to hurt Caroline, according to E!.
Who could be after Mystic Falls’ friendly vampiress? We don’t know for sure, but we’re trying not to sweat it. Usually, Caroline can handle her business — but on a show like this, even the strongest characters aren’t safe. We can only hope somebody — ahem, Tyler — will be by her side when this anonymous villain shows up.

Vampire Diaries Scoop: What Will Matt Learn?
Don't watch the latest promo for season three of The Vampire Diaries, Matt. You may not like what you see in a quick scene involving your former girlfriend and best friend.
But producer Julie Plec tells Entertainment Weekly that this character will have a lot more on his mind soon after the show returns on September 15. To wit:
“Matt is one of the first people to learn Jeremy’s secret, and one of the loves of Jeremy’s life visiting him from beyond the grave is Matt’s sister Vicki, who he never really had complete closure with,” Plec previews. “So he is gonna have, with Jeremy, an emotional journey in this supernatural world as he learns that his sister’s out there and contactable and tries to convince Jeremy to help him get the closure that he’s needed.”

As for why Jeremy is even seeing dead people, Plec has said... not very much. Guess we'll need to watch season three, huh?
'Teen Wolf's' Crystal Reed Teases Monday's Season Finale and Season 2
The actress is ready for her character 'Allison' to fight.
Crystal Reed is ready for her character, Allison Argent to stop crying next season on MTV’s breakout hit Teen Wolf.On the carpet at InStyle’s 10th annual Summer Soiree, Reed told THR that “Next season, it’s really cool. I was talking to our creator (Jeff Davis) and he said he wants to make Allison like Sarah Connor. I think she’s done crying and running away. I think now she’s just going to have to fight.”
STORY: MTV's 'Teen Wolf' Captures Second Season Renewal
Reed also mentioned that there might be some she-wolves running around in the second season. Could she possibly be referring to Lydia (Holland Roden) who we last saw in a very sticky (as in bloody) situation after being attacked?
When commenting on the two deaths in Monday’s season finale teased by EP Jeff Davis to Zap2it, all the actress would spill was that “they’re important characters” as she later joked “I’m not coming back season two.”
As reported by THR, Teen Wolf was picked up for a second season in July shortly before attending San Diego Comic-Con.
STORY: MTV's 'Teen Wolf' Web Series Premieres Today
This wasn’t the show’s first appearance at the annual convention though. At Comic-Con 2010 “nobody knew who we were. It was funny because our panel actually…people were coming in to hold seats for the next panel. It was interesting being there and having people actually know who were. It came full circle. It was really cool.”
The show also stars Tyler Posey as the teenage werewolf Scott McCall in addition to Dylan O'Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden and Colton Haynes.
Teen Wolf’s first season finale “Code Braker” will air on MTV Monday August 15th at 10pm ET.

Dylan O’Brien Has A Crush On Selena Gomez
MTV’s “Teen Wolf” actor Dylan O’Brien revealed during a recent interview that he has a crush on Disney star Selena Gomez. Not only that, but Dylan proclaimed that Selena’s current boyfriend Justin Bieber is a “lucky man”!
Hypothetically, if Selena and Justin weren’t together do you think she and Dylan would make a cute couple? We think so, but we really like her with Justin!

Britt Robertson: 'Secret Circle' & 'Vampire Diaries' Not Crossing Over
Britt Robertson gets close with costar Thomas Dekker as they attend The CW Network’s Summer 2011 TCA Panel Session for The Secret Circle at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday afternoon (August 4) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The Circle stars joined costars Gale Harold, Natasha Henstridge, and executive producers Gina Girolamo, Kevin Williamson and Andrew Miller to chat about the upcoming show, premiering September 15th.
Kevin told press at the panel that there most likely would not be any kind of crossover with The Vampire Diaries. I don’t think you’ll see that crossover. That would kind of limit us. We want to create our own story,” he shared.
“It’s very dark, but not that hard-edge ripping hearts out and slicing people open like Vampire Diaries. We’re just challenged as to what can witches do? Yes, there will be humor and scary witchy-woo,” he added about the feel of the series.

'The Vampire Diaries' Season 3 Details: How Bad Will Stefan Get?
So at this point, if you don't aware that The Vampire Diaries will return to TV with a brand new season on September 15th, then I seriously suggest you re-evaluate your life and the decisions that led you to this webpage- but you do know! Of course! So let's get into a few spoiler details that will set season 3 on fire!
At Comic-Con this past weekend, blood and deets were spilling all over the place about Stefan's upcoming role in the new season. If you remember (if you don't, you're insane), Klaus recruited Stefan, and in order to save Elena's life, Stefan agreed to switch to the dark side. But what will that mean for Season 3, and how bad will things get?
Joseph Morgan, the man behind Klaus, teased that the biggest baddie yet has plans for his new accomplice. “What we’re going to get to see is how dark Stefan can go,” he says. “The interesting thing is that Klaus has given Stefan permission to release that darker side of himself. We’re going to see…what Klaus’ ultimate goal is with Stefan and for Stefan.”
Executive producer Julie Plec says that exploring Stefan's darkness is a story that will last for a long portion of the season. “We’re going to be exploring the levels of Stefan and his dark side for hopefully a good amount of time,” she says. She also explains some of the questions that will be raised: “How long will he stay separated? Will they be able to help him, find him, rescue him, bring him back from the edge? Or will he keep fighting that?”
But there's good that will come of this, as executive producer Kevin Williams tells us. Paul Wesley has been really good as Stefan, and his dark side will unleash a new side of Paul we haven't seen before! “He... has a swagger and a fun to the role that doesn’t exist as Stefan because he’s so the good boy. He’s so intense. He’s so broody. No one really gets to see the playful side of Paul Wesley… As dark and as devilish and as nasty as he is [as Ripper Stefan], it makes him more fun.”
